Poncho For Days | Tyler Glasses | Handwoven
This unique, handwoven, multi-award winning weaving “Poncho For Days” is crafted with 100% Navajo Churro wool and woven by Tyler Glasses. This is the first poncho that Tyler Glasses has woven. “Poncho for Days” pulls inspiration from many older Navajo textiles, including ponchos from before the Navajo Long Walk, along with putting a modern lens on the patterns.
In staying true to the spirit of traditional wearing blankets, it is handwoven using 100% Navajo Churro Wool. This poncho is finely woven with an average of 54 to 56 wefts an inch. With age, the long churro fibers will begin to break in and the weaving will begin to drape even more. Expertly dyed with aniline dyes, this blanket will be sure to make a statement in any room or if you decide to wear it, it will definitely turn heads. With it’s one-of-a-kind design and excellent blend of colors, this poncho is sure to be treasured for generations to come.
